In addition to being an Asbury Park wedding photographer, I'm obsessed with interior design, everything bagels, & cozying up with a good book. My other great loves include our Boston Terrier, black cat, & humble little home on the Jersey Shore. While my love of art & design sparked my interest in photography, my love of marriage (& my husband!) is what inspired me to open Kate Opal Photo Co. I absolutely adore serving my couples in their happy moments.
I’m a heart-on-her-sleeve kind of gal who genuinely feels it’s incredibly important to get to know all about YOU. By the time your wedding rolls around, I’ll know the name of your dog, your favorite TV binge, and just how to handle your wacky Aunt Wanda. I’ll cry over your vows before dancing the night away with you, camera in tow. I’ll fix your train; I’ll capture your moments. And I’ll never stop smiling.
I'm not just in love with weddings but also with marriage itself — and I am lucky enough to be married to the love of my life, Ryan, since 2011. We were college sweethearts and now he’s a professor at the university where we met.
We flew to Vegas for our tenth anniversary and renewed our vows - 1960's style - with Elvis and 18 of our nearest and dearest in the Tunnel of Love. Our afterparty was at In-n-Out. It was bonkers, and we loved it.
Ryan is not only my husband, he's my partner and teammate. While he bravely handles the books and the business side of things, I’m lucky enough to live out my passion every day — photographing other madly-in-love couples kicking off their lives together.

there’s no place like asbury
Although I love to travel, I am a total homebody at heart - and there's truly no place like Asbury. My grandmother Jaye spent her summers here in the 1930s, and I spent my college nights at the city's legendary music venues. Ryan and I even had our first dates in this magical little town. I know it like the back of my hand, and I cannot wait to show you around!
